Volvo drivers are about to enjoy a major upgrade to their in‑car entertainment. Volvo Cars is rolling out Apple Music integration to more than two million vehicles through an over‑the‑air software update, bringing one of the world’s largest streaming platforms directly into the cabin. The newly launched Volvo EX60 will feature Apple Music natively from day one, giving early owners seamless access to their playlists, curated stations, and expansive libraries the moment they step inside.

The addition of Apple Music enhances Volvo’s broader commitment to intuitive technology and premium audio experiences. Eligible customers can receive up to three months of Apple Music at no cost, offering ample time to explore new artists, rediscover favorites, and build the perfect soundtrack for daily commutes or long road trips. Models including the Volvo EX60, EX90, and ES90 also support Apple Music Spatial Audio when equipped with the optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Powered by Dolby Atmos, this setup creates an immersive listening environment that surrounds passengers with rich detail and lifelike depth. As Volvo’s head of global software engineering, Alwin Bakkenes, explains, the goal is to make the car “an extraordinary place to experience music,” placing listeners at the center of the performance exactly as the artist intended.

A More Connected Listening Experience

With Apple Music now integrated directly into the vehicle, customers can sign in using their existing Apple account and immediately access songs, playlists, and live radio. Voice and touchscreen controls make navigation simple, while new subscribers can easily transfer their full music library from other services. The result is a seamless, personalized experience that travels with the driver wherever the road leads.

Volvo’s latest update underscores the brand’s focus on thoughtful innovation, enhancing everyday usability while elevating the emotional connection between driver, car, and music.
