Volvo’s recently launched XC40 has been named a finalist in Motor Trend’s SUV of the Year competition. In particular, the auto magazine’s editors like the XC40’s modern styling, Pilot Assist safety features and powertrain.

The XC40 has a "pugnacious swagger inside and out," Motor Trend said, "with forms and materials and colors that are reminders that not all Scandinavian design is a riff on birchwood and midcentury furniture."

Added the magazine: “Despite promising entry-level luxury, the XC40 has an impressive array of safety features, including Pilot Assist for autonomous help with steering, acceleration, and braking to avoid collisions.”

Test drive a 2019 Volvo XC40 today at Isringhausen Volvo in Downtown Springfield.
